BALTIC Code

The Baltic Code contains guidance for Baltic brokers and is based on the distilled experience of Baltic members over many years.

All members are required by the rules of the Baltic Exchange to have a thorough knowledge of and to comply with the provisions of the Code. A breach of the Code by a member may be considered by Baltic directors to constitute a breach of the Baltic Exchange’s Rules, resulting in suspension or expulsion from membership.

New members of the Baltic need to be conversant with the principles and details of the Code.

There is no international code covering shipbrokers specifically and this Code applies to members of the Baltic Exchange only.
