Following a review of the Panamax indices the decision has been taken to cease the following implied Index

Route P3A-IV (72,000 coal Newcastle to Qingdao – implied voyage rate) This route went live in in January 2012 and is an automated calculation on the 74,000dwt vessel using the P3A published value to derive an implied voyage rate. As part of the Baltic’s annual review it became clear that the relevance for this has reduced.

The Baltic Index Council has approved the proposal to cease publication from 2 January 2020.
