The Baltic is hereby notifying the market that on Friday, 27 October 2023, the Baltic Data Platform (BDP) incorrectly calculated, published and distributed the BITR ASIA TCE values. 
 
The error was due to a failure in the foreign exchange (FX) rate feed and BDP defaulted to Thursday’s FX rate prices (26 October 2023).
  
The FX feed failure was identified later that day.  The value impact for all the TCE indices was minimal however the Baltic performed a recalculation of the TCEs, the Baltic website was updated and the corrected PDF reports were sent out the same day .
