John Duggan
Members will learn with deep regret that John Duggan passed away on 29 March 2016 in his 90th year.
Mr Duggan was first elected a Member of the Baltic Exchange in 1965. From 1976 until 2003 he was a Principal for John Duggan & Co Ltd. In 2003 he became a Baltic Retired Member.
Many Members may remember the photographs he took after the 1992 bomb outside the Baltic.
He had received the Freedom of the City of London by Redemption on 17 January 1983. He received the Freedom of the Company on 18 October 1983, became a Liveryman on 16 October 1985 and reverted to the Freedom on 1 May 2002.
Mr Duggan’s wife Margaret died a few days after him, on 4 April 2016. So, there will be a joint Memorial Service for both John and Margaret at The Parish Church of St Edward, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucs, on 22 April 2016 at 1300hrs and afterwards the family would be pleased if you would join them for refreshments.
