Around 100 guests braved unusually torrential rain in Athens to attend the Baltic Exchange’s annual festive drinks reception, bringing together Greek panellists, brokers, members and friends to celebrate the achievements of 2025 and look ahead to the year to come.

Now in its third year at the elegant Balthazar Penthouse, the gathering has become a seasonal staple for the Greek maritime community. Set against one of central Athens’ last remaining private gardens, the venue once again offered a warm and sophisticated backdrop, even in torrential rain.

Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés crafted by Chef Christoforos Peskias, while conversation sparked across the room. During the evening, Baltic Chairman Guy Hindley offered a toast, thanking attendees for their continued support and highlighting the strength and spirit of the Baltic community in Greece.

Despite the rain, the atmosphere remained fantastic, and it was an encouraging start to the festive season and a positive sign for the year ahead.
