Baltic Exchange was proud to once again support the Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA) Annual Exhibition, which took place from 17-27 September 2025 at Mall Galleries, London.

Now in its 80th year, the exhibition brought together the very best in contemporary marine art, from dramatic seascapes and ship portraits to abstract interpretations of life on and beneath the water, showcasing work from RSMA members and talented new artists selected through open submission.

As part of London International Shipping Week, Baltic Exchange was honoured to sponsor the prestigious £5,000 Baltic Exchange Award, presented during the exhibition’s Private View on 18 September. Guests gathered for an evening of fine art, conversation and celebration, with Guy Hindley, Chairman of the Baltic Exchange, officially declaring the exhibition open.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Baltic Exchange Award to Madeleine Davenport for her painting Mallaig Harbour,  a striking piece that captures ships in bright watercolours.

Baltic Exchange is proud to continue its support for the RSMA and its mission to celebrate and promote marine art, which has long been intertwined with Britain’s maritime heritage. For those unable to attend this year, the exhibition will return next autumn, offering another opportunity to explore and acquire world-class maritime works.
