On 30 October, we continued our global celebration of four decades of Baltic Exchange index production with a vibrant evening at Lantern, overlooking the iconic Marina Bay skyline.

You can see all the photos from the evening here.

With over 160 members, partners, and maritime industry leaders in attendance, the event brought together Singapore’s shipping community to honour 40 years of innovation, collaboration, and benchmark excellence. From engaging conversations to breathtaking views, the night was a true celebration of our shared journey and future ambitions.

Guests also heard from Baltic Chairman Guy Hindley, who reflected on the Baltic’s legacy of trust, transparency, and progress, and looked ahead to the exciting developments shaping the next era of benchmarking.

The evening also marked the official launch of the extended Baltic Air Freight Spot Indices (BAI Spot), developed in partnership with TAC Innovation. The enhanced indices now include routes originating from Hong Kong, India, and Korea, the first-ever daily spot air freight benchmarks regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Building on over 40 years of ocean freight benchmarking expertise, BAI Spot provides a daily, independent assessment of spot air cargo rates, offering greater transparency and confidence for airlines, freight forwarders, and global shippers. With plans to expand coverage to additional airports in Asia, Europe, and the Americas, BAI Spot sets a new standard for transparency and data integrity in the global air cargo market.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Singapore, your presence made the evening unforgettable!
