Seaview Warwick Cup 2019
This year’s Baltic Exchange Sailing Association (BESA) Warwick Cup took place on the 18 and19 May at Seaview, Isle of Wight.
Philip Bacon reviews for Baltic Briefing:
“This year’s Warwick Cup once more provided some superb viewing.
The last race saw the top three contenders for the Cup finish so close that the guns fired in such quick succession that the crews could not tell who was ahead until the Race Officer called it!
In the end, the Young Baltic Association (YBA) ‘crew 1’ took the Cup, followed closely by the European Energy Exchange with the Baltic Exchange team in third.
It was great to see two mixed crews of the YBA from several companies, with the Andrew Francis Cup going to the YBA ‘crew 2’ for the most improved performance during the weekend’s racing. Teams from AM Nomikos, Navig8 and Howe Robinson also contributed to a great mix of competitiveness, sportsmanship and social interaction from Friday evening to Sunday.”
