The Baltic is providing notification that, from 2 January 2026, the cost of FuelEU for applicable tanker routes will be included as a voyage expense in the Tanker TCE calculation.

 

The cost of FuelEU, applicable to the Tanker TCE calculation, is assessed as the standard cost of €2,400 per tonne (as established by the European Parliament and Council and notified through Regulation (EU) 2023/1805) of VLSFO-equivalent fuel that exceeds the GHG compliance target (89.34 g CO₂e/MJ) for a Baltic Standard vessel on a Baltic applicable route.
