Baltic Exchange Circular 17/17 (7 April 2017)

C7 Bolivar/Rotterdam cargo size proposal

Due to the improved sailing draft in Puerto Bolivar, which enables some vessels to load in excess of the maximum 165,000mt per the current C7 route description. The Baltic has been contacted by a number of users regarding increasing the cargo size. The Baltic is now proposing the following revised description.

C7

Bolivar to Rotterdam. 150,000 or 160,000mt coal, 10% more or less in owner’s option, free in and out, trimmed. 50,000mt Sundays + holidays included loading, 25,000mt Sundays + holidays included discharge. 12 hrs turn time at loading port, 12 hrs turn time at discharge port. Laydays/cancelling 20/35 days from index date. Age max 15 years. 3.75% total commission.

The Baltic would greatly appreciate your comments and feedback prior to 25 April 2017 in order to make a suitable recommendation to the Baltic Index Advisory Council (BIAC) for their approval.

If there is consensus regarding this amendment and provided the Baltic Index Advisory Council (BIAC) approves, then the intention would be to introduce the change on  3 July 2017, unless there is a consensus for a different start date.
