The Baltic Exchange commenced Public Trial reporting of the new LNG benchmark vessel on 10 July 2018.

Benchmark LNG vessel description:

  • 91,500 dwt TFDE propulsion
  • 160,000 cbm capacity
  • 17 knots on 100mt laden / 95mt ballast IFO (380 CST)
  • 0.1% boil off
  • 20mt IFO/day port cons idle
  • 40mt IFO/day port cons working
  • Max 20 yrs age

Benchmark route BLNG1:

Vessel to be cold ready to load. Delivery OPL Gladstone, loading 25-40 days from Index date, for one round voyage with discharge in Japan (Tokyo) redelivery Gladstone, duration 20-25 days. 1.25% total commission.

The route will be assessed in $/day every Tuesday on a weekly basis, publishing at 11:00 hrs London time.

Whilst the route is on Public Trial, the data will not be downloadable. It will only be published on www.balticexchange.com.
