Mrs Inge Mitchell, R

Members will learn with deep regret of the passing of Inge Mitchell, R, on Saturday 28 June 2025.

Inge joined the Baltic Exchange initially to manage the organisation’s media relations and any visiting dignitaries. She worked to promote understanding of the Exchange’s work amongst schools and universities worldwide and talked to visiting students about its history, trading purpose and the wider maritime industry.

In recognition of her tireless work to the maritime industry she was granted an Honorary Free Membership of the Baltic Exchange in 1992.
