Amid the volatility in freight and bunker markets, as well as ongoing challenges in shipping supply chains, SGX held an exclusive shipping and bunker trading seminar during Singapore Maritime Week to discuss the shifts in geopolitics and fundamentals that have added to complexity and risk.

Baltic Exchange's Head of Asia Jin Yu Cheong joined a wide range of speakers at the seminar, showcasing how the Baltic is doing its part to provide key data and insights into freight markets, as well as highlighting its role in supporting the trading of Forward Freight Agreements (FFAs) and fuel oil futures to bring structure and discipline to risk management.

The seminar also included a lively Q&A and networking session, allowing Jin and the Baltic to provide practical strategies for using FFAs and fuel oil futures effectively in today’s dynamic market.
