Baltic Exchange returns to Mumbai for first networking event in 10 years
Baltic Exchange made its grand return to India in early February, welcoming some of the biggest names in maritime, commodities and cargo to its first networking event in Mumbai in more than a decade.
Mark Ma, Associate Director, and David Currie, Senior Freight Assessor, welcomed senior representatives from Shipping Corporation of India, Tata Steel, HPCL, UltraTech Cement, Shree Cement, Great Eastern Shipping, Orissa Metaliks, Astramar Shipping & Trading Services, MOL, Opulence, Ikwezi Mining, Tata NYK, and many others to a fantastic evening reception at AER, Four Seasons Mumbai.
The evening consisted of a number of wonderful discussions and celebrations as Baltic and its wider community toasted to the continued success of India’s dynamic shipping and commodities sector. Baltic was also honoured to welcome Ms. Praveena Rai, CEO and Managing Director of MCX, India's largest commodity derivatives exchange. She shared meaningful insights on future collaboration between key industry stakeholders to better serve India’s maritime and commodities community.
On behalf of Baltic Exchange, we want to extend our thanks to everyone who joined us at this wonderful event and we wish to extend our special thanks to the Interocean Group for their invaluable support in making the evening so memorable.
As India’s economy continues its rapid expansion and demand for freight services and transparent benchmarks rises, Baltic Exchange looks forward to deepening our engagement with India’s leading companies and supporting the market with essential global freight indices and data services.
