Following a strong response in the UK, Japan, USA, France, Canada and Germany, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will return to the City of London on 21 September to host its next series of sector-specific seminars as part of its Think Asia, Think Hong Kong campaign.

According to HKTDC, changes in international trade as a result of Brexit and China’s Belt and Road Initiative, offer once-in-a generation opportunities for British enterprises to grow business in Asia by using Hong Kong as a hub for their activities. Principal officials from the British and Hong Kong governments and top leaders of Chinese and multinational corporations will share their own stories and advice on how to tap into Asian markets.

The themes of the sector-specific seminars will include:

  • Chinese Outbound Investment
  • Doing Business in China and throughout Asia
  • Finance
  • FinTech

In support of Think Asia, Think Hong Kong, business delegations from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland will visit the UK and be available for one-on-one business matching meetings for business delegates and UK based participants. 1,400 participants are expected to join the event this year in London.
