Hugh Davy passed away on Friday 11 May after a short illness.

Hugh retired as manager of Cargill’s London freight office in 1993 where he had worked for over 25 years on the grain market. He started his career in 1954 at Harrison Line Ltd London.

His father was director of a shipowning company and also a member of the Baltic Exchange. His brother John was also a member of the Exchange and managing director of a shipbroking company.

The funeral will be on Thursday 7 June at Mortlake Crematorium at 12.40 pm followed by a reception at Hugh’s boat club, Quintin, Ibis Lane, Chiswick.

There will be a just-giving page set up for any donations to Hugh’s suggested charities, Sightsave or RNLI.
