The Baltic Exchange held its Dry Bulk Forum on 29 May 2025 at the SGX Auditorium as part of the Singapore International Ferrous Week. The event was very well attended, with around 100 industry professionals joining the forum.

The morning began with welcome remarks from Baltic Exchange Chief Executive Officer Mark Jackson, who opened the session by highlighting the importance of Asia in shaping global dry bulk trade.

Phoebus Kaloudis, Head of Business Development at SSY, delivered the keynote, offering his outlook on the dry bulk market, followed by an update on Baltic indices from Stephen Aitchison, Senior Freight Market Assessor at the Baltic Exchange.

Alexis Ellender, Senior Lead - Dry Bulk Insights at Kpler, provided valuable insights on the dry bulk fleet and the implications of global tariffs. This was followed by a fireside chat on future tariff trends, featuring Dedi Affandi Ahmad, Partner at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP, in conversation with Cheong Jin Yu, Head of Baltic Exchange Asia.

The forum concluded with an engaging audience Q&A and a networking lunch, offering participants the chance to connect and discuss the latest developments in the dry bulk sector.
