The Baltic Exchange Wine Society held a convivial wine tasting event at the City University Club on 8 November with about 30 people in attendance. For this event, the society had the pleasure of sampling English wines grown in East Sussex from Birchen Vineyard. The owner, Tom Landau, talked attendees through six samples of his wines, with tasting notes about the differing grapes and how they can produce markedly different wine styles.

With plenty of time between the wines to savor them and just as important, to engage with colleagues, friends and new faces, attendees enjoyed some light snacks served by the City University Club. All in all, it made for a relaxed evening enjoying the wines whilst also learning a little more about them.

A big thank you to everyone for making the event such a success. The Baltic Wine Society looks forward to hosting other events and seeing more Baltic members enjoying a glass or two in the future.
